Barangay Ginebra San Miguel fans got the chance to be up-close and personal with their favorite PBA players JayJay Helterbrand, Japeth Aguilar, LA Tenorio, Mark Caguioa and Greg Slaughter at a recent meet and greet event held at the PBA Cafe in Pasig City.
As part of Ginebra San Miguel’s “Bring Home the Kings” promo, fans also had the chance to have their limited edition, hand-painted collectible figures signed by the players.
Barangay Ginebra San Miguel die-hard fan Jumar Mendoza, who now has three complete sets of the limited edition collectible figures, plans to collect more to add to his collection of Barangay Ginebra merchandise.
“When the promo was launched, I wasted no time in collecting the caps and seals needed to get the figures. I asked family and friends to also help me collect. Now I have three complete sets. The first set is displayed in my bedroom with my collection of Barangay Ginebra merchandise, the second is at our house in Tarlac, and the third, I gave to a friend,” relates the 29-year-old teacher, who has been a fan of the team since he was a kid, adding that he would watch the PBA games with his lolo, the original die-hard Barangay Ginebra fan in their family.
More fans can get a chance to complete their collection as “Bring Home the Kings” promo is extended until October 15, 2016.
