The Ginebra San Miguel 180th anniversary travelling exhibit kicked off its mall leg recently with trivia games, prizes and a meet and greet with Ginebra players. Know about the history of the Philippines’ first-ever gin in its next stop at SM Manila on Sept. 22 (Monday). More games and prizes await die-hard fans, plus meet and greet Gin Kings Mac Baracael, Greg Slaughter, Rodney Brondial and Chris Ellis. The exhibit features Ginebra’s humble beginnings in 1834 as a family-owned distillery in Quiapo, Manila, the story behind the St. Michael Archangel label by National Artist Fernando Amorsolo, the calendar girls, and the father of the “never-say-die-spirit” Robert Jaworski, Sr. This is Ginebra San Miguel’s way of showing its appreciation for the patronage of millions of Filipinos, and for keeping the brand the no. 1 selling gin in the world.
